A high-ranking Nazi scientist, Heinrich Zemo, "The Most Hated Man in Europe", devoted his life to creating instruments of death and destruction, from disintegration rays to a solution called Adhesive X--a glue with an unbreakable bond. Adhesive X would later lead to his fearsome appearance: the mask he wore to conceal himself from enemies of the Nazis was permanently bonded to his face during a fight with Captain America and the subsequent disfigurement drove him mad. He became the supervillain Baron Zemo. Years later the Baron Zemo mantle and signature purple mask would be taken on by another man, Helmut (shown here unmasked), just as evil as his predecessor and ready to destroy all those who stand in the way of his lust for power. The mad Baron joins the Marvel Legends series along with nemeses and dark allies.
